Right before the Crucifixion Jesus admonished Peter that those who live by the sword would die by the sword; he told Pilate that if the Kingdom of God was like the Kingdom of Caesar then his disciples would take up arms.  But what is the alternative?  Is nonviolent resistance practical?  Does it work against violent authoritarians as well as liberal democracies?  In other words, does Jesus know what he’s talking about?  Join us for a video presentation by Erica Chenoweth, discussion and research findings on that question.
