The Rev. Kelly Moughty

Rev. Kelly Moughty will be on medical leave starting June 24th, 2024.
As Rector, Kelly is responsible for overseeing the worship, mission, and ministry initiatives at Holy Cross. She firmly believes that the laity are the primary ministers of the gospel, and strives to empower God’s people for discernment and action around God’s call on their lives as individuals and on our life as a community. Her favorite part of ministry is teaching and preaching the Good News and helping people see the world through the Gospel’s lens of hope and justice.
Kelly grew up in Connecticut and is a graduate of George Washington University and Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. She has previously served congregations in Connecticut, Maine, DC, and Virginia, and prior to her ordination in 2012, was a Youth Minister and part of the Episcopal Service Corps. She lives in Falls Church with her husband Alex and their dog, Tucson, and she’s always looking for excuses to bake and time to read historical fiction.
