  • 3:00 pm

Join us Sunday, October 4 for our traditional Blessing of the Animals, coronatide edition. We will celebrate the feast of St. Francis, patron saint of animals and the environment, so bring your pets to Holy Cross!

We will welcome companion animals at our 9:00 AM service on the front lawn or you can drive by between 3-5 PM when Mr. Kevin Laskowski and The Rev. Claudia Tielking will be on the sidewalk of our parking lot, ready to offer thanks and a blessing-to-go for the dogs, cats, hamsters, snakes, spiders, and other creatures, great or small, who share our lives and homes with us with.

Want to give more tangible thanks? Please bring a donation of unexpired, unopened dog or cat food to support the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, and the Berkeley County Humane Society (WV).

Bring your furry (and feathered and scaly) friends, and perhaps a food donation for those who have not yet found their “forever home” to Holy Cross, and give thanks to God for their fun and companionship.
