The Reverend Jamie Samilio is a graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary and holds an undergraduate degree in Art from Mercyhurst University, in her hometown of Erie, PA. Jamie has a strong desire to walk with others as they discover their spiritual gifts and journey toward a deeper understanding of their own call to ministry. Prior to being ordained, Jamie worked for many years for the American Airlines Group as a corporate trainer, with an emphasis on safety and customer service. She has over 25 years of design, marketing, and publishing experience, and she served as the Stewardship Consultant for the Episcopal Diocese of Washington.
Along with her regular clergy duties, Jamie is the clergy liaison to the Adult Formation Group and the Outreach Committee. Working with the Formation Team, Jamie plans and implements the Adult Formation schedule, and arranges special speakers for Sunday Morning Formation.
Jamie is also the liaison for Outreach, and works to empower the Outreach Committee to provide opportunities for Holy Cross to engage the world by providing opportunities to serve God in our local community and across the globe. Jamie’s passion for fine arts, combined with her call to ministry, led her to create the Art-n-Soul program where participants produce a painting that is donated to Pathways to Housing, DC as housewarming gifts for clients who are moving into new permanent homes.
