Vigil for Hope, Healing and Grace

Event details

  • Friday | June 25, 2021 to Saturday | June 26, 2021
  • 7:00 pm

Last year, in the midst of pandemic and protest, we held Holy Cross and our world in prayer for 24 hours. This year, as we emerge from the pandemic, we hope you’ll join us again in prayer and reflection.

From Friday, June 25 at 7 PM to Saturday, June 26 at 7 PM, we will hold another 24-hour vigil for healing, grace, and hope. Just like last year, each participant commits to 30 minutes of personal prayer, including set prayers for our world, our parish, and for members of our congregation by name.

Our individual prayers will be complemented by collective prayer via Facebook Live at 7 PM and 9 PM Friday and 9 AM and noon Saturday. The event will conclude with a special, in-person (and livestreamed) service of sung Evening Prayer on Saturday at 7 PM—please sign up below to attend. We’ll gather for fellowship afterward.

For one day, Holy Cross will “pray without ceasing,” holding others in prayer and being held in turn.
