Holy Cross is continuing our fundraisers for Ukraine with a workshop to make your very own pysanka ornament!

On Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 2-4 PM, join us in making pysanky (Ukrainian eggs) that we will turn into ornaments. Pysanky are a Lenten tradition passed down through generations of Ukrainians as a way to contemplate and express faith and community, and we will be making them for Advent.

This class will use real blown chicken eggs, permanent dyes, and candles, with the option to varnish your egg. Participants must be 10 years or older, and anyone 10-15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies will be provided.

There will also be some items for sale that have been donated to support Ukraine, including blown duck eggs (limited quantity), pysanky related art, and other small items. All are welcome to purchase items and visit Holy Cross, but please register in advance. Space is limited.

The suggested donation for this event is $30. All proceeds to the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund Ukraine Crisis Response. Contact Stephanie Cheeseman with any questions, if you’d like to volunteer, or if you have an idea of a donated item to sell at the event.
