Advent is a time for quiet contemplation and meaningful opportunities for worship. On Thursdays during Advent—December 5, 12, and 19—we will be offering Taizé services. The church will open at 7:00 p.m., and the service will start at 7:15, ending around 7:45. Following the service, we will be gathering for fellowship at a local restaurant and all are welcome.
About Taizé Services
The Taizé liturgy originated with a community in France in 1940. The community is an ecumenical, intentional community with a twofold purpose: to seek communion with God through personal prayer and the beauty of community prayer; and to be a place of peace and trust in the midst of humanity. Traditional Taizé services include listening to God through simple, meditative songs, scripture, prayer and silence. Visit www.taize.fr/en for more information about Taizé.
Take advantage of this opportunity to prepare the way of the Lord intentionally.
