November 1 – 3, 2019
Join us for any of the weekend events and invite your friends!
7:00 – 11:00 p.m.
The weekend kicks off with gala dinner on Friday evening. Join your parish family for a classic Italian dinner with live music by the Tim Wolfe Jr. Jazz Ensemble. Meet some of the founders of Holy Cross as well as those who have made Holy Cross their spiritual home in years past. Seating is limited, so reserve your place now.
Please RSVP for the gala dinner by October 23.
5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Join us Saturday for a free, family-friendly Chili Cook-off and Pie contest! This open-house event will be an opportunity to share stories, visit with friends, play cards and games, and listen to music from 1979 to today—and more!
If you would like to bring a pot of chili and enter the contest, or bake a pie for the pie contest, please sign up at bit.ly/40thchilicookoff.
Let’s celebrate our future by learning about our roots. As part of our celebration on Saturday we will conduct oral histories of Holy Cross members and record them using the StoryCorps app. The recordings will be archived at the library of Congress. Sign up to share your story at bit.ly/40thstories, or reach out to Kathy Alsegaf at firstname.lastname@example.org.
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
On Sunday, join all the Saints of Holy Cross for Holy Eucharist followed by a festive coffee hour reception! There will only be one service on Sunday, November 3, at 10:00 a.m. Former Rector the Rev. Jonathan Bryan has been invited to preach, and we will acknowledge our founding members at the service.
