Register now for a beautiful weekend away June 7-9 for our annual Parish Retreat to Shrine Mont.
The weekend is paced by the shared meals, meals you don't cook, or clean up, food your kids will eat--and enjoy. The bell rings for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and that's pretty much the only watch you need. Your children will have the freedom to roam, get dirty, get bored, get tired. They will play games that don't require an electronic device. They will see stars--lots and lots and lots of stars. And if they stay still and pay attention, they will see satellites crossing the night sky.
What you won't do at Shrine Mont: laundry, wash dishes, cook, mow the grass, vacuum.
What you will do: rest, read talk, pray, eat, swim, walk, roast marshmallows, make friends

Yoga Class
Holy Cross hosts a yoga class on Saturday mornings led by yoga instructer Kathy MacLeod. The next 10-week series begins Saturday, April 20, Classes are Saturday mornings, 9:00-10:15 a.m. The fee is $80 for the series. If you can't make all the classes, you may drop in for $10 per session. Please contact Kathy MacLeod to sign up.
Cooking for the Homeless
Join us on Tuesday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. to prepare meals for guests of Safe Haven shelter. It’s a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and outreach. You will meet some wonderful people, and you may learn a new recipe or two. You are welcome any time.

Saturday, May 18, 4-8 p.m. in the Parish Hall
Come for an afternoon and evening of creative expression, fellowship and outreach. Canvases, acrylic paints and brushes will be provided (and some snacks) for you to use to create an original work. The paintings will be donated to formerly homeless families moving into their new homes. Seasoned artists will be on hand to offer guidance, but there are no rules in art so you can let go of any fear of the painting medium and go for it. There is no charge for this event, but a suggested donation of $20 will help cover the cost of materials. If you would like to bring a snack to share, great! Space is limited, so sign up now by contacting the parish office.
UTO Ingathering Coming May 19
Just a few weeks to go to fill up your little blue box. Our annual United Thank Offering Spring Ingathering is on Sunday, May 19. These offerings are used to support grants for ministries at home and overseas as an outreach of the Episcopal Church. The Tanzania Health Mission has directly benefited from this program in years past. So, pick up a box in the Narthex and count your blessings daily by placing your coins in the box. Thank You!
